Community Guidelines

Comments on Kalkazu.org are a place for readers to talk about technology. These guidelines apply to every comment and every reply. By commenting, you agree to them.

1. Respect comes first

  • Disagree with the idea, do not attack the person.
  • We do not accept insults, name-calling, threats, harassment or hate speech against any person or group, whether based on race, color, ethnicity, origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability or any other condition.

2. Text and emojis only

  • Links are not accepted, even when written in a disguised way.
  • Code snippets and HTML tags are not accepted.
  • The site refuses, on the spot, any comment that contains a link, code or a word from our list of offensive words.

3. No advertising and no scams

  • No promotion of products, services, channels, profiles or deals.
  • No requests for money, chain messages or easy-money offers.

4. Protect your data and other people's data

  • Do not post phone numbers, addresses, ID numbers, e-mail addresses or any other personal data, yours or anyone else's.
  • Your comment is public: it appears with your name and your profile picture.

5. Stay on the topic of the article

  • Repeated, meaningless or off-topic comments may be removed.

6. Reporting

  • Every comment has a "Report" button. Use it when a comment breaks these guidelines.
  • The person who wrote the comment is not told who reported it.
  • A comment that receives many reports from different readers is taken down until we review it.

7. What happens when the guidelines are broken

  • We may remove comments at any time, with or without a report.
  • We may stop an account from commenting. A blocked account can still read, like and save articles.
  • We may remove a profile picture that breaks these guidelines.

8. Your comments are yours

  • You can delete a comment of yours whenever you want. The replies to it are removed with it.
  • When you delete your account, your comments, likes and reports are deleted.
